Victorian Sterling Silver Aide-Memoire Monogrammed with JW


In reasonable vintage condition commensurate with its age. The holder has two pockets and the original pad of gold-lined paper and pencil. There is a some lead in the pencil.


It has a lovely blue silk lining. The material lining is in reasonable antique condition, there are some small marks. The string attaching the book to the case is broken.


The pages intact and only one has been used, see pics.


There is a loop and jump ring at the top. The clasp is broken.


A lovely foliate acanthus decoration gives it a rich elegant feel.


Hallmarked: Made by Yapp & Woodward (John Yapp & John Woodward) in Birmingham. The date mark has rubbed off.


The silver pencil was made by S MORDAN & CO.

Size: 8.5cm by 5cm. It is 10cm tall including the loop. It is 1,5cm deep.
