This is a gorgeous vintage kilim rug - flat weave. Bought at an antique store - I was told it was made in Turkey, but not 100% sure. I believe it was handmade - see photo of the back of the rug. I used it decoratively, it was never walked on. Can be an awesome wall hanging, as well. Colors are unique - muted - great with neutrals - natural tan/beige (background), cream, eggplant/medium purple (not brown), yellowish-green.
