These stunning bookends depict the romantic couple Dante and Beatrice and are made of bronze. They were manufactured in 1925 and are a great addition to any bookshelf. The intricate details and craftsmanship make them a true collector's item. Perfect for anyone who loves literature or art.

A fantastic pair of Armor Bronze book ends of Dante and Beatrice, elctroformed using the company's well known process of electrostatically applying a bronze patina to various objects. The surface is wonderfully textured, giving it an antique aura and feel, even when new in c. 1925. The pair still contain their original marker tag.

Armor Bronze offered a range of book ends originally selling between 5 - 15 or so dollars for a set in the early 1920s. For an additional 2-3 dollars they could be ordered enameled. We believe that the better looking ones were normally not enameled.
