An antique early 19th century Georgian porcelain round shaped inkwell decorated with a hand painted floral pattern. Some collectors may refer to this as a capstan shape. There are three holes for pens or quills and a larger central in dip hole.

The pot does not have a makers mark, and they are unknown but it was possibly made in Coalport, Shropshire England by John Rose and co sometime around 1825.

The ink well is in good antique condition without chips, cracks or restoration. There is some minor wear to the gilding. Please see the images. There is an old collection label to the base.

The antique porcelain floral decorated inkwell measures about 3 inches (7.5 cm)  diameter and about 1 15/16 inches (4.9 cm) high. It weighs 123 grammes unpacked.

A beautiful, decorative item to add to any collection of antique Georgian porcelain, ink wells or hand painted ceramics.
