This is an old vintage paper and wood Japanese parasol with a white grip, bamboo spines painted burgundy red, with tan paper. The paper has holes and some tears. There are two metal prongs on the handle to let you choose how wide you want the umbrella to open.

Sold as is. Despite the tears, it is a beautiful antique piece looking like it came from the late Meiji/ early Taisho era.

I don’t know the exact age. It came from a second hand retailer. It may well be antique.

Shipping included in the price.
