PERENNIAL CARNATION  Dianthus Bicolored delivers an abundance of ruffled, sweetly fragrant blooms in a gorgeous mix of Blue, Red, pink, Black, salmon and violet. The variety is early flowering producing compact bushy plants with good strong stems 35 to 45cm in height. Once established, they will flower continuously from July right through to October.


Cultivation Advice PERENNIAL CARNATION Dianthus 

Sow February to June or September to October.

Sow on the surface of a good, free-draining, damp fine seed compost. Do not cover the seeds as light aids germination, but gently press into the compost.

Best sown in a propagator for moisture retention or seal inside a clear polythene bag at 16 to 20°C.

Germination usually takes 14 to 30 days.

Transplant to individual (3in) pots when large enough to handle and grow undercover.

Overwinter autumn sown seedlings in a cold frame and plant out the following spring.
