Rally models have fascinated the RC fan community for years. The VW Golf MK2 GTI 16V is a classic of the scene and the TAMIYA kit has now been faithfully modeled on it.

The VW Golf won the Group A A7 class in 1986. Group A included cars that have 4 seats and over 2,500 are built every year. The Golf had a 1.78L engine with 4 cylinders and 195 HP.

The TAMIYA MF-01X chassis has four-wheel drive and grippy Rally Block tires. Thanks to the independent wheel suspension and the closed drive via a cardan shaft, this is the perfect basis for the VW Golf and ready for RC rally feeling!
