I purchased this over 20 years ago from a st louis thrift store. I was struck by the sense of freedom and fearless abstraction. Abstract with wild brushstrokes yet holding its gravity to its intended form. for many years i saw it as something very alien and mask like but lately it has peacefully returned to a still life floral composition
