1956 King H.N. White Co. Solid Silver Head silver body Piccolo in C model 1029

We are not woodwind player here...just a dumb guitar player so this was not tested but the pics show the pads and silver...all springs DO NOT work well.  Some are stuck This is a great Piccolo for beginner or intermediate players as well as professionals from all the articles I read about it.  This will need some new springs and maybe pads...not sure sold as is.

The first flutes and piccolos made by The H. N. White Company were made for the Cleveland brand in 1929-30. Starting around 1936 the King brand started making it's own silver flute with a few unique features such as a "head and embouchure plates that are made of Solid Sterling Silver" and a "body which is made of especially hard drawn White Metal Seamless Tubing." In 1939-40 the first King brand piccolo entered production, and an American Standard piccolo was added. Each King piccolo had a sterling silver head and embouchure plate, the body was made out of the finest nickel silver and springs made of gold wire. The H. N. White Company made all of its own flute and piccolos and did not stencil any for other companies (that I know of). The H. N. White Company made very popular flutes and piccolos until the company was sold in 1965.
