The Annotated Sherlock Holmes Vol 1, Sir Conan Doyle, ED Wm Baring-Gould 1967

This is volume 1 of a two volume set.  It is 11" x 9" x 1 1/2" and us 690 pages long.  It is green cloth with gold gilt lettering on the spine.  There is a two page map at the front of Sherlock Holmes' London and a portrait of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.  It was edited with an introduction, notes, and Bibliography by William S. Baring-Gould.  It has maps, diagrams, coats-of-arms, photographs and drawings.  

This volume covers the life of Sir Conan Doyle, The Early Holmes (1874-1879), The Partnership with Dr. Watson to Dr. Watson's First Marriage (1881-1886), (1881 - 1888 with the death of Mrs. Watson), and Dr. Watson's return to Baker Street to his second marriage (1887 -1889).  

The book itself looks like new inside and out.  The dust jacket has a sticker remnant, wear at the edges and corners, and a tears at the bottom edge. Please look at the 11 photos.  It weighs over 4 pounds.
