The DC Adapter means you can set the camera up to record without worrying about using batteries.

You may want to apply a piece of tape to the battery hatch to make it fully close, although in it's current state it causes no issues.

The camera itself uses 2AA batteries, which makes it perfect for travel as you don’t have to worry about bringing/forgetting your charger. If you run out of battery power, you can just pop into any store and get some new batteries!
