Up for sale is a very variant of a rare and exceptional vintage teleconverter, the Vivitar 2x Macro Focusing MC Teleconverter.

This lovely unit, manufactured for Vivitar by Kino Precision (Kiron), not only focuses as a standard, optically-excellent, 2x teleconverter, but it also incorporates a focusing helical that allows for closeup/macro magnifications using standard lenses. With a standard 50mm lens, this unit produces an equivalent 100mm with 1:1 focusing capabilities. On shorter focal length lenses, max magnifications will be even higher, and on longer focal length lenses somewhat lower.

This is the rare Pentax PKA mount variant with aperture pass-through, allowing for full open metering on Pentax A and later film bodies, as well as Pentax DSLRs. It also features aperture pass-through on Ricoh electronic mount due to the presence of the so-called "Ricoh" aperture pin as well. This is the "safe" rounded version of the Ricoh pin and will NOT get stuck on the AF mechanism of later Ricoh/Pentax Digital Slrs.

Gorgeous LNIB  condition with virtually no handling wear, perfect mechanics, and glass free of scratches/haze/fungus.

Includes caps, box, and leatherette carrying pouch.
