This exceptionally beautiful book contains 173 illustrations made and photographs taken mainly by two missionaries in Patagonia, Alberto D’Agostini and Martin Gusinde.

Through photos and drawings they documented the life, customs, religion, myths and realities of aboriginal people in Tierra del Fuego (Land of Fire).

The book depicts the most relevant aspects of these extinct people’s lives and culture, through contrasting myth and reality as seen by the authors.
