This is a great antique vase, this was produced by the US Glass company,  designed as a "Cemetary vase"  It is meant to be pushed into the ground near the headstone.  I have included a picture of the original US Glass ad.  Thank you to my friends in the Vintage Glass page on Facebook.  It is 10" top to bottom.  No chips cracks or dents.

It is mentioned in the ad as potentially an automobile vase, but I don't see that as practical. .
