DESCRIPTION:  Here is a mid 19th century Minton parian ware butter dish, cover and stand. It has a moulded pattern of lily's and flowers and having a flower shaped finial. The inside of the cover and dish are clear glazed for cleaning purposes. The dish and stand are marked to the base with a relief moulded registration mark dating from 20th march 1849 (as pictured) to 1867 when the new registration was used. There is also an impressed shape number 288.

SIZE: The stand measures 8 inches in diameter. The dish measures 5 5/8 inches in diameter by 2 inches high. The cover measures 6 inches in diameter. Weighs 886 g before packing.

CONDITION: There are no chips, cracks or restoration. For accuracy the are a couple of fine firing cracks that do not detract and a small amount of kiln dust with a number 8 and a small colour area to the underside of the base. All imperfections are in the making.
