BONUS 2nd FLASH TUBE HAS JUST BEEN ADDED TO THIS LISTING AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. Not sure if it works (it was kept as a spare and never used) but it looks pretty good. Photos have been added to show it, but as with the other parts there is no guarantee it works.
This Norman set has seen a lot of action & has the war wounds to show for it. It has been fixed many times, from tough conditions on location sets, and was always fixable by Flash Clinic (for you old-school photogs who remember that NYC institution) until we decided to replace it with something more powerful & modern. Still have a lot of nostalgia for the rickety 400B, though. We're happy to see there are still 400B fans still trading parts here.
A few missing screws, lots of dings in the metal box; the flash tube looks pretty good but we have no idea if it works; the reflector is a little warped but still fits on the head. The Chimera softbox ring is a nice thing to have (there is NO Chimera softbox included). The second, flatter reflector belongs in the Chimera ring, we just didn't have the tool handy to loosen the screws to put it back in.
The batteries are untested.
