It is outstanding in intonation, smoothness of tone quality and easy playing. Other features are the flute-like action of the keys, the adjusting screws on all essential key levers, and roller bearings on key arms. All keys are made of a special alloy of hard material.
Improved G sharp key assembly and new model octave sockets with improved register key action.
Built on strictly modernistic lines, the striking beauty of the instrument immediately catches the eye. Every key is a new design. The high D natural and D# keys are of an entirely new design, fitting the hand naturally without fear of losing control of the saxophone.
A roller on the D# key enables you to move easily from G# to B natural and Bb. Free and easier action. The low B natural and C tone holes are on the upper side of the bell, so that these tones are not muffled by being against the body of the player, which also clears all the lower keys. All key guards are of a new design, bumper pads are eliminated, with the noise created from hard bumper pads, and a guard brace has been placed from the bell to the body of the instrument, protecting the keys when the instrument is used in a sitting position. --White Way News Catalog 8, 1935

For sale by The H. N. White Company LLC, this 1936 King Zephyr Alto Saxophone is one of the earliest with regards to King Zephyr Saxophones. This saxophone has been fully restored. We had a little fun with this saxophone by adding a little silver plate to the engraving of King. The result is very cool. The body of the saxophone has new baked on lacquer which is our most durable finish and will last a long time with proper care. In almost unbelievable restored condition this King Zephyr Alto Saxophone has been fully overhauled with new pads, cork, and springs. This saxophone has s few very small scratches almost invisible to the eye. There are no dents or small dings on the saxophone.
· All parts on the saxophone are original.
· The “King” had new silver on it for a little extra pop.
· This finish is new baked on clear lacquer (99.9% perfect).
· The saxophone has been re-engraved.
· This saxophone has undergone a full overhaul, and is ready to play.
