Russian Princess-meets-Penny Lane, in this incredibly dramatic lambs fur and leather coat...

This beauty of a coat has been sleeping in my repair archives until now! Made from a warm tone, light grey color leather, this coat is definitely inspired by late 1920's to 1930's styled coats. It is overall a light to medium weight coat, but the heavy fur embellishments make it decent for slightly colder temps. There are large swaths of fur, brushed, and dyed to resemble fox fur, in light grey to brown tones, finished with darker tips; around neckline and chest, at cuffs, and trimming the entirety of the hem of coat. Lined in a lightweight rayon weave fabric, in matching light grey. There are two slant welt pockets at either front hip side. The belt is not original -and I admit it is a sad match, but I searched for more than a year and hope to find something better soon- it was re-sized and painted grey with leather paint, but I feel I did a poor job at matching the color tone. There was also a chunk of missing lambs fur from the lower left area, and I have sewn in a fox fur 'blossom' to fill that void -usually women's garments are worn right-over-left, which means this little detail would become somewhat concealed, but I showed the coat worn left-over-right, in order to show it. There is a sash inner tie, but no buttons or other form of closure, other than the belt. All fur was cleaned by hand, by yours truly. Overall condition is excellent, with the aforementioned repairs, and one small mark on the left sleeve, and some small rust spots at lining -please review photographs for full details. Labels read 'Rich's' and 'Body: dyed leather, Fur: dyed lamb, Lining: rayon, made in U.K.'
