Vintage WW2 Era Bristol Bombay Heavy Cast Metal Toy - Likely Lead - RARE

From the quality of the casting, it looks homemade, but I’ve seen some of these before so they may have been available already made. They also appear to have been originally painted in metallic copper and green camouflage design - which probably wasn’t freely available for the home enthusiast at that time. A matt green camouflage pattern has been applied on top.

Using a 1944 aircraft recognition manual (who knew it would still be useful) I think I’ve narrowed the aircraft model down to either a Bristol Bombay or a Handley Page Harrow (I’m leaning towards the Bristol). The twin fin & rudder design is quite unique to these aircraft and it looks like it’s supposed to have a fixed undercarriage.

This one’s got both cast propeller blades - a rarity - but only the starboard fin and tail wing.

8cm long, 12cm wingspan.

There’s 4 listed - 2 of these and 2 single engine aircraft - possibly Fairey Battles.
