IN KING ARTHUR'S COURT

First Edition

New York, 1889

A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court; Mark Twain. New York: Charles L. Webster and Co., 1889.

Quarto [App. 8.75 x 7.25 in.]

First Edition.

575 pp. plus publisher's advertisement. Illustrated by Daniel Carter Beard. The S-like ornament on page 59. Original green cloth binding with gilt to spine and blue/gilt illustration to front board. End papers with a floral pattern.

A good shelf copy of a highly desirable book. The binding presents well externally, though hinges cracked internally. The text block itself is clean and tight.

With the purchase of this copy, we are offering additional collection support - as we maintain an excellent reference library and are actively sourcing material for new collectors.
