Disney Hocus Pocus: The Game, based on the 1993 movie "Hocus Pocus",
players must work together to ruin the Sanderson Witches’ potion 3 times before the sun rises. Players hold a hand of ingredients of different types and colors and attempt to match all ingredient types or colors in the cauldron.

Each turn, players ask a question about other players’ hands, referring to the ingredient type or color (but not both). (For example, “Who has blue ingredients?” or “Who has newt saliva?”) They then play a card from their hand into the cauldron and draw back up to three cards, ending their turn.

Some ingredient cards have Binx the cat or a spell book on them. When an ingredient with Binx is played into the cauldron, the active player puts the Binx mover in front of any player. That player then lays their cards down so everyone can see them and keeps them there until Binx is moved. If a spell book is played, the active player draws a card from the Spell deck and resolves the card. Spells generally do something to ruin players’ plans.

If you have cards showing all of one color or all of one object in the cauldron, then you've stunned one of the witches — and you need to stun the witches three times before time runs out! When stunned, a witch cannot cast spells from the deck.

Players also have four “Tricks” to use based on scenes from the movie; each Trick can be used once per game. For example, "Burning Rain of Death" allows you to discard three potion ingredients and draw three new potion ingredients.

Amazon 5 star reviews

5 star review Super Fun.  It's kind of like Uno - matching colors or items, but on a board. I like that it has teamwork. We played with the cards up and that helped the kids until they get the hang of it. Lots of requests to play it again!!

5 star review Great board game with excellent cover that reminds you immediately the movie!!! A great, cooperative board game which requires a bit thinking to win the Sanderson sisters!!Easy to learn, simple rules and it is the perfect board game for a Hocus Pocus fan.The components awesome and when you play it reading the cards you are thinking several scenes from the movie.I am looking forward to play it with more people than 2.

5 star review Great and Fun Game. Fun, easy, quick and original! The game is easy to learn after the first round and reading the instructions carefully, however it is NOT easy to beat the Sanderson Sisters... they are so powerful! Super fun and simple, each game takes 20-30 mins, and even though the rules are simple and fun it is hard to win. Its great! the whole purpose of a cooperative game is to work together to beat the opponent, and the Sanderson Sisters are worthy opponents indeed!

5 star review A bunch of hocus pocus fun.
Our family ran amok, amok, amok, trying to stop Sanderson Sisters from creating their potion. Once we got a hang of the game it was very fun & easy!
Definitely a must have for a family with kids 7 & up especially if y’all love the movie.
The objective is to work together to ruin the Sanderson Sisters’ potion 3 times so the sun comes up on the witches board.
You take turns changing the potion in the cauldron until you can stun a witch.
Their magic prevents you from sharing your hand so you ask each other questions instead.

Questions like:
“Do you have any _________ color cards?” - Asking only if the have a certain color.
“Do you have any Oil of Boil?” -Asking only if they have a certain ingredient.
So one person asks a question & everyone answers yes or no.
Then the person that asked the question lays down one card from their hand &
picks up a new ingredient card.
You take turns doing that until you can stun one of the witches.
Once you get a certain set it will stun a particular witch & the sun is closer to rising.
If you run out of ingredient cards before sun rises (playing 3 rounds), the Sanderson Sisters win.
There are other things that changes up the game like spell cards, Binx mover, & trick tokens.
My girls are 8 & 13 years old. They both really enjoyed it.
It’s not a long game, but would be fun to play multiple times in a row.
