Up for sale is a very rare example of the classic Spiratone/Sigma 18mm f/3.5 Ultra Wide Angle lens in YS mount with Konica AR adapter.

This lens was created in the 1970's by the well-known Sigma corporation incorporating their "YS" universal mount, a variant of the classic T2 screw mount with coupling for auto-aperture operation. It was marketed in the U.S. by Spiratone, a well-known distributor of little-known Japanese photo equipment.

It features an outrageously wide for its time 18mm focal length, with all-metal constrction and f/3.5 maximum aperture.

This particular example is in vintage condition with some bumping to the front filter ring. Otherwise in excellent condition with light handling wear only, excellent mechanics, and glass free of scratches/haze/fungus.

Includes original YS to Konica A bayonet adapter, and can easily be adapted to nearly any other 35mm film, DSLR, or mirrorless format through the use of a YS, T2, or AR adapter.
