The relatively modern cover shot belies the very vintage internal pages of this vintage magazine. In the advertising there is much made of the new modern manmade fabrics which were such a thrill with being bright, colour fast, non crease and non fray in such as Tricel, Crimplene and Ban-Lon. There is a black and white advertisement for Austin 1000 car where you can order real leather upholstery for the seating for only £12.1.8p The Classic Rose Queen girdle to give firm tummy control will make anyone who wears the lightweight magic knickers of today gasp! Vintage is an overused word nowadays but in this case it is truly apt.

Detailed Condition Report of the magazine on sale: Very Good
This vintage magazine is in remarkably good condition throughout. The cover is bright and clean. The internal pages are in good order and all are present even the detachable recipe card which is so often missing still in place in this issue. The spine is strong and intact. Check-out the scan of the cover, it is the magazine on offer not a stock photograph.
STILL IN VOGUE has a policy of honesty in the description of the vintage and used magazines we sell. This may work against us in that we draw attention to damage and it sounds much worse than it is. Not all vintage magazine sellers offer individual condition reports so one is left to assume their magazines are all in mint condition. We hope however that you, the buyer, appreciate that we want to supply you with goods that will match or exceed your expectations and not dash them.
