This is a changing world; Vogue has always carried numerous advertisements for fur coats, in the 50s it was the luxury item every woman wanted but this issue has both fur ads and and as for Astraka fake fur - "Real people wear fake fur". The SPOTLIGHT section is a focus on the preservation of buildings which are earmarked to be demolished and Friends of the Earth have a double page spread cartoon looking at recycling - a new word in the 70s. In fashion the big look is the country look and there is a strong Men in Vogue section. See the scan of the Braun hairdryer, for those to young to remember in 1974 almost all hair was set in curlers not blow drying so this weird inflatable hat was an invention to save having to have a sit under hood dryer.

CONDITION: very good
This vintage magazine is in remarkably good condition throughout. The cover is clean and smooth and bright, note slight wear on the top right corner tip. The internal pages are in great condition and all present. The spine is smooth and complete. Check-out the scan of the cover, it is the magazine on offer not a stock photograph. STILL IN VOGUE has a policy of honesty in the description of the vintage and used magazines we sell. This may work against us in that we draw attention to damage and it sounds much worse than it is. Not all vintage magazine sellers offer individual condition reports so one is left to assume their magazines are all in mint condition. We hope however that you, the buyer, appreciate that we want to supply you with goods that will match or exceed your expectations and not dash them.
