Tea Towel Art Hangers

Love your tea towels? Hang them on your wall with our specially designed tea towel frames.  These frames use cord to hold the tea towel in place, and do not damage the tea towel in any way. Easy to assemble, quick to hang, no knots required in cord.

Comes with top and bottom frame in a choice of wood, 5mm cord cut to length for both frames (you can easily shorten the top cord for a change of hanging length) and full instructions.

About Our Hangers

Our hangers have been specially designed for hanging tea towels without damaging them.  They are made from Australian woods, often reclaimed or repurposed from our workshop. They have been finished with natural linseed oil. If you would like a set that you can stain to a specific colour, please message us for a price on 'raw' hangers.

Please Note

The hangers are made from reclaimed wood and may contain nail holes (filled) or other natural flaws. The hangers in the photo are not necessarily the ones you will receive, although they will be in the same wood. Thank you for looking.

 

FAQ:

What size to choose?

Measure the top and bottom edges of your tea towel (remember if it is a horizontal picture to measure the long side). It is better to have a hanger that is at least one centimetre longer than the longest measurement - tea towels are often skewed, especially if used, which is why you should measure both sides. We can cut custom length hangers.

Hanger Frame Colours :

Pine is a pale wood and yellow tinges.

Mountain Ash is a pale wood with pink tinges.

Ironbark is a dark brown wood with red tinges.

Do you need any tools?

No specific tools required, although you will need something hard and pointed, like a ruler edge, or kitchen utensil end to push the cord into the slot.  This is what holds the tea towel and frame in place so it is necessary to make sure it is fully pushed in.

And, of course, you need a hook on your wall to hang it on.  Don't have a hook - request our free 'renters hook' with your hangers.

Is it difficult to hang?

No. Not difficult, but care is needed, especially if your tea towel has a strong line along the top or bottom edge as you will want to line this up straight. And then it will look fabulous!

Can I hang anything else?

Whilst these hangers have been made specifically for tea towels, they will hold any material of like thickness, or thinner. Thicker items such as quilts and rugs need specific hangers.

Do I need to use your hanging cord?

5mm cord is needed to hold the tea towels in place, however you can use any 5mm cord you like. Or you can add a thin wire for hanging purposes whilst still using the 5mm cord to hold the tea towel. Details included in the instructions.
