The set includes a figure of Israeli Defense Forces “Oketz” K-9 unit officer with dog figure. Assembly is required.

Oketz (Hebrew for sting) is the name of an Israeli, independent special forces unit. The unit was first established in 1939, still under the Haganah, but was disbanded in 1954. Its reactivation took place in 1974 and functions within the structure of the Israeli armed forces to this day. Its first commander was (from 1974) Yossi Labock. The Oketz unit specializes in dog training to carry out various military tasks, and its soldiers, along with their four-legged charges, carry out these tasks. Each dog in the unit is trained to do one specific task, for example: looking for hidden weapons and ammunition, finding people in collapsed buildings or participating in manhunts in urban areas. Oketz operators are very often assigned to Israeli airborne units, although they are not formally subordinate to them. Interestingly, nowadays, the Belgian Shepherd Dog (Malinois) is most often used in the Oketz unit, and before that, German Shepherds and Rottweilers were very often used.
