Our amber is from the Baltic region of Europe and is hand-carved in Poland using traditional motifs. This pendant is one of a kind and you will receive the exact item pictured. Measures 1 1/2" long including the bail.

Amber is petrified tree resin from a family of coniferous trees. Amber is the only stone that is not cold to the touch. It is very light in weight is considered a soft stone. It is also the only gemstone that is not mined.

This technique of carving is called "Reverse Intaglio". The image is carved in reverse from the back of the pendant, which forms a 3D image when seen from the front. Our Amber Intaglio pendants have stunning depth that is hard to capture in photos. They are really striking little pieces of art.
