This very nice and rather rare N gauge locomotive by Kato is 176-031C an EMD SD45 in Union Pacific livery, it has running number 3633.

1,260 EMD SD45s were built for American railroads before the SD45-2 replaced it in 1972, along with the related SD45T-2 'Tunnel Motor.’ Buyers included the Burlington Northern, Southern Pacific, Santa Fe, Pennsylvania Railroad, the Great Northern Railway, Union Pacific and the Northern Pacific Railway. Many SD45s still exist, some rebuilt with sixteen-cylinder 645s for lease companies. 

Additionally a number are already in preservation. 

The loco is in good condition as you can see in the pictures, it is fully tested and runs well with working headlights. 

It comes complete with its box. The box is in good if slightly shelf worn condition. 

Overall this is a really nice scale locomotive and would look fantastic on a layout.
