Suillus granulatus dry mycelium - 30 g
Boletus granulatus

The orange-brown cap of Suillus granulatus is sticky when wet, typically measuring 3 to 9 cm in diameter. It features pale yellow granules at the apex and lacks a ring. The young mushroom exhibits milky droplets and a pale yellow flesh. Suillus granulatus is occasionally mistaken for Suillus luteus, a common and widely distributed species. Unlike luteus, Suillus granulatus lacks milky droplets on the pores. The confusion also arises with brevipes, which has a short stipe and does not exude droplets from the pore surface.
