The separation of the record player and the Bluetooth speaker can be as much as 30 feet or 9.144 Meters per the manufactures specification for the Bluetooth transmitter you will receive with your kit.
This kit will convert your RCA 45J2 Attachment Player or other attachment players with a RP190 record changer to 12Volts DC Bluetooth operation. Some soldering will be required to hook up the 12VDC supply power cord to the on/off switch. See Gallery photos above which shows how the 12VDC is hooked to the ON/OFF switch and how the tone arm wire is connected to the 3.5 TRS output.
You will receive 2 different 12VDC power sources: 1. 120VAC to 12VDC adapter for stationary 120VAC use, 2. Battery holder that holds 8 AA 1 & 1/2 volt batteries for portable operation. Batteries are not included.
1. A Bluetooth Transmitter / Receiver used in Transmitter mode with two USB charging cords. One for recharging the Transmitter / Receiver the other for recharging the speaker. This allows recharging of both at the same time if you have the charging adapters or from your computer. Manufacturers specifications on each state a charge will last approximately 5 hours. USB Wall to 5 Volt charging adapters are not included.
2. A new 12VDC Variable Speed Motor pre mounted on a RP190 motor mounting plate. You will be required to adjust for the proper speed. No speed measuring device required, Just adjust to the sound of your favorite record.
3. You will remove the Motor Mounting Block assembly from your record changer, and remove and reinstall from it, the idler tension spring, The Idler Wheel and associated parts, 3 motor clips and 3 washers to the mounting block with the 12VDC motor with speed control that you receive with the kit. The mounting block comes with 3 new motor grommets.
4. A Bluetooth speaker shown in the photos and YouTube video. The Bluetooth speaker will perform other functions if desired but for this listing only the amplifier/speaker portion is considered. You will receive instructions for the other options available with the speaker. Note: There may be damage to the exterior of the box the speaker is in which is the way I received it.
5. All of the necessary cables for connections including a 12 VDC Female to wire connector cable to connect to the on/off switch on your 45J2 plus a 3.5 TRS male to wire cable to connect from your cartridge wiring to the Bluetooth Transmitter. The green, black, or yellow wire is typically associated with the Ground wire, red with the right audio wire, and blue, or white with the left audio wire.
6. Two alcohol cleaning pads to clean the cycle cam and idler wheel rubber as needed.
7. Wire nuts for tying wires together when possible instead of soldering.
