This  censer embodies the fine and lavish character of  Japanese Satsuma earthenware. Grand in every way, in size and decoration: the censer is decorated with dramatic images of  Rakans and immortals over a rich gilt ground. The Foo Lions handles and finial are remarkable!  Condition: there is loss of paint over the ends of the hair; there are also small chips on about 4 hair tips.  Very good antique condition overall. No cracks or repairs on the body. Item is being sold AS IS for minor issues  that may have been inadvertently missed. Unmarked.
