DESCRIPTION

This is a listing for a Vintage FOSTORIA Commemorative Plate from the Our American States Collection as well as original velvet lined Presentation box and outer protective sleeve.  This plate has an original Fostoria label as well as the Fostoria name in gold on the lid of the box.  This is #2851/552, honoring TEXAS.  Designs in this collection were from Marvin Yutzey & Jon Saffell of the Fostoria design department.  This plate has a wonderful design with the outline of the state, state flag, state bird and plant.  It also has the date 1845 when they became part of the United States. This is clear in color with frosted details and wreath like frosted edge.  This plate was a limited edition from 1973, then after a years time, the mold was destroyed.  This item was found in the glass morgue at the factory at the time of its closing. This was made by the Fostoria Glass Company in Moundsville, West Virginia, USA.

This is in very nice vintage condition with some signs of age on the presentation box and the protective sleeve and tearing on the seam.     

The plate measures approximately 9" in Diameter.
