These beautiful, rustic blankets are a modern take on the traditional wool blanket, such as you might find in an old farmhouse, croft or shepherd's hut. They have excellent thermal properties - perfect for snuggling up with on the sofa and for keeping warm and cosy through the winter months.
Their rustic feel is not 'super soft', which means you might rather use them as an extra layer rather than against bare skin - they are definitely for real wool enthusiasts and those who like a rustic texture and appearance. Our brood. blankets feel very different to blankets made from man-made fibers, they can contain very low levels of organic matter (i.e. the odd small piece of straw).
Our quality, British-made blankets are woven in small batches in the Colne Valley, West Yorkshire, a place historically renowned for British textiles, in particular wool weaving. We work with local wool spinners and weavers to create beautiful blankets in a range of traditional weaves and lovely colours.
