Bumper strips protect the frame & strings from direct impact in wall collisions & they also protect the string from any worn sharp edges in a graphite frame. Its good to change the bumper strip when you have your racket restrung.

N.B. The actual bumper guard strips are supplied in clear transparent colour (clear is not a very photogenic colour - hence the black image).
