Glorious vintage earrings from my favourite jewellery designer, the house of Emilio Pucci. They are bright silver rhodium-plated clip-ons with large, oval 'plexi-glass' rhinestones which were a signature feature of Pucci designs in the aftermath of WW2. These are dramatically coloured scarlet and aqua and are highlighted beautifully by crystal-clear white baguettes. The camera cannot capture the impact of these pieces but the photographs do realistically show the constantly changing colour of the oval stones seen from different angles. The aqua colour is particularly unusual and one of these stones has a slightly paler edge giving it a watery appearance. I don't think that this is any form of damage as both earrings are in excellent condition. It is more likely a feature of plexi-glass which was a product of re-cycled aeroplane windows!
Italian vintage designer costume jewellery is currently eagerly sought after and vintage jewellery by Emilio Pucci is particularly hard to find. These earrings are high-end couture, in excellent condition, totally wearable and an absolute joy to own.
Please note that the final image shows a similar pair of earrings, in rather darker and duller colours, currently for sale on 1st dibs for £525.
