It is a substantial piece of vintage glassware, buildt to last, weighing in at almost 1.5 pounds. There is some minor inner rim roughness, either from the factory or from stacking on shelves, and one photo shows a hard-to-find factory flaw (a "straw mark") in the bottom of the bowl. Neither of these minor "flaws" detracts from the bowl's beauty and charm or from its usefulness.

We generally use USPS Priority Mail because the rates are competitive, and insurance is included in the rates. In the rare case that there is damage during shipment, it will be the BUYER’S RESPONSIBILITY to file a claim with the USPS. USPS will require the buyer to take the merchandise and shipping carton to the local post office even if we sellers file the claim, so in our experience, it is to the buyer’s advantage to file the claim.
