1982 Ford Fairmont / Mercury Zephyr (?) Station Wagon

RH Tail Light

(2 Corners Chipped Off, Lens Scuffing)

Ford right-hand station wagon tail light that appears to be NOS but has no box and a couple of very noticeable piecees chipped off of the upper left corner (the whole corner is missing) and the upper right corner (a chunk of the side area before the red portion begins is missing), bearing part number E24B-13440-AA on the backside. I believe it is Fairmont / Zephyr wagon, but am not sure what years. The 'E2' part number prefix suggests it was first produced in 1982; I suspect it might fit earlier years as well, but that the chrome trim edging might not be correct for earlier years. Again, I am not sure. Please confirm the ID based on the photos and part number.

Although the light appears to be new, it is not in a box and was sitting on the shelf in a warehouse for decades when I acquired it. There are the above mentioned pieces chipped off of the upper left and right corners, along with a small section of the bright edge trim in the middle of the lens chipped away near the top (see the close-up photos), and some scuffing through other areas of the lens. 

There is a gasket on the backside. There are no bulb holders included.
