Steve Carter was born in Vancouver , B.C. Canada in 1946.  He was a former teacher of Canadian History and Geography in Kelowna B.C.  In June 1984, with no formal art training, he started drawing pen and ink completely freehand.  He has illustrated Canada's best selling fly-fishing book: THE GULLY.  During Expo 86 he was the only Pen and Ink artist at the B.C. Pavillion.  All his wallcards are now made of entirely of recycled papers, some of which hang in the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa and Victoria Canada.. His unique style is now collected by thousands around the world.
