A classic gallery half hoop ring from around 1880 - 1900
Marked for 18ct gold and electronically tested
In size O  1/2 (UK), 7 1/4 (US) it has not been sized and is large for the period.
It could be later , as the style is classic, but the cut of the stones and the manner in which the ring has been built to fit the stones indicate a fairly early date.
All are set with what we would these days consider to be large claws .
The sapphires are in a very simple flat topped cut.
The centre largest is just over 5mm diameter. The side ones around 3 to 3.5 mm.
The diamonds are old mine cut. Lovely white stones.
The central sapphire and the two diamonds are each around 0.5 ct
The two smaller sapphire around 0.15 each
Gallery height 6mm max
Gallery length 18mm
Weight 3.3 gms
It's a grown up piece of jewellery.
