This is a beautiful lot of 7 vintage thimbles purchased at an estate sale with many others. Six of these are ceramic or porcelain and one is fabric with embroidered flower. I am unsure of age, but the ones in the lot that were dated seem to be 1980s -1990s.
1. Made in Japan - scene of man and woman in 1800s garments by water.
2. Unique Cloth thimble with embroidered flower on both sides.
3. Image of an Inn and looks like a European travel souvenir thimble.
4. Two blue birds and flowers
5. Cardinal on a pine branch
6. Butterfly and flowers
7. Plain with gold band around it. Pattern on bottom lip, taller than the standard thimbles and has a bump on top. sticker inside says FM.
I don't see any significant wear on images, and thimbles have no cracks. They would make a beautiful addition to your collection, or a gift to a collector that you love!
