DESCRIPTION

This is a listing for a Vintage FOSTORIA Glass Company Promotional Booklet. This has 8 pages, including the front and back covers.  This is titled "It All Began on a Beach Party" about the birth of glass.  This offers questions and answers and shows 23 photographs of patterns.  These blown patterns would have had the Fostoria signatures.  Blown patterns are: Triumph, Precedence, Moon Mist, Richmond, Renaissance, Firelight, Classic Gold, Promise, Bianca, Vermeil, Carousel, Sweetheart Rose, Chapel Bells, Georgian, Wedding Ring, Love Song, Engagement, Trousseau, Andover, Venus, Announcement, Invitation, Rosalie, Glamour, Sheffield, Jefferson & Patina Rose.  For several of these, there is one picture, but one picture might serve to represent two different pattern names depending on if they had a gold or platinum band.  There are some line drawings of an American Cruet, Coin Shakers, Four Petal Candy (HFM), Sandwich Candlesticks (HFM) & Pressed Block footed bowl. I have provided some example pages of this booklet.  In researching the years of production of some of the glasses offered, it narrows the time frame of this booklet to about 1969-1970, based on the pattern Bianca. This exact brochure can be see in Juanita L. Williams book Fostoria Glass The Elegant and Master Etchings on Page 41.   This was made for the Fostoria Glass Company in Moundsville, West Virginia, USA and was retrieved from the archives after the factory closed.

This is in nice used vintage condition with some age speckles and marks appropriate to its age. This was folded over at some point as seen by the horizontal crease.
