It's a beautiful camera. If you're always shooting digital all the time and got rid of your 35mm camera equipment and suddenly you missed shooting film, you might want to consider picking this up.
I remember selling Pentax IQZoom Camera models of all kinds when I worked in a consumer electronics store back in the early 1990's. They were very popular point and shoot 35mm cameras. Customers loved them because they had fast zoom lens, very stylish, and loved that excellent quality photos that they produced. One thing about this particular model it has what I call the "full dynamic " of the zoom range. The 35-160mm zoom is perfect for just about any shooting scenario you can think of... Portraits, landscapes, seascapes, group photos and more! It was a very popular model back then because it took wonderful pictures, had a great zoom range, and had a very attractive price point.
It's a fullly automatic camera. Basicallly just power on, load up film, compose your shot, and press the shutter button. The unit also has some nice flash modes does such as fill-in, Auto, Red Eye, etc.
Cosmetically, the camera is in excellent condition. It's absolutely beautiful. There are no major cosmetic issues with the exception of a small scuff located to the rightt (pictured below). Overall appearance is thumbs up. Rear film door is beautiful. Lens optics are scratch free. The interior of the camera is absolutely pristine. The LCD display is practically flawless.
It's a great working 35mm film point and shoot compact camera. I inserted a CR2 battery (sorry not included) and inserted a test roll of film. The unit powered on right away once I turned it on. Self timer works, flash works, shutter button works as it should. All of the flash modes work. Rewind button works. LCD display shows what exposure you're on and advances after the shutter is pressed.
The included wireless remote works perfectly. Don’t forget to set the camera to the remote setting. The wireless remote controls the shutter button and the zoom lens. It stores on a clip through the neck strap.
