Shepard Half Moon 1609/hendrick Hudson 1909 Souvenir Spoon 21.4 Grams 5 3/4" Long
The bowl has a ship on it and the handle has Shepard Half Moon Hendrick Hudson. This souvenir spoon is a must-have for any collector of historic history. The Half Moon De Halve Maen (The Half Moon) was the name of the ship in which Henry Hudson charted the river that now bears his name. It was an 85-foot, square-rigged, three-masted wooden sailing vessel, which carried a crew of 15 to 20 men. It was classified as a yacht; from this Dutch word comes our English word for a pleasure boat.
This spoon is a unique addition to any collection. The spoon was manufactured in an unknown country or region.

Most of my items that I sell comes from different Estates. I sell them as I bought them.
I do not clean or polish my
vintage items so they retain their vintage patina, but all of them polish up wonderfully! Some people like them very shiny and others
like them with a nice warm patina.
