ITEM DESCRIPTION

This auction is for an antique Colonial style mahogany and rattan rocking chair.

Featuring fantastic old world craftsmanship and joinery including skilfully turned sections on the legs and struts. Showing signs of wear commensurate with age and use, notably a chewed section to the front right rocker and the rattan has began to sag slightly and splinter in a small section of the centre of the seat. Otherwise the chair is in good solid antique condition.

Payment via eBay is our preferred method.  However, if you are collecting the item from our shop, items can be paid for by cash or card upon your arrival.

COLLECTION POLICY

Our shop is open for collections Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 15:00. Please enquire about Saturday hours, Sundays we are closed. When you wish to collect the item, please let us know in advance so that we can make sure your item is ready and there is someone on hand to help you if required.

The collection point is in Cowley, Oxford. If you are unable to collect, you are welcome to arrange a courier instead. You will need to let us know, and specify to your chosen courier our opening days and times and address.

Alternatively, we offer a delivery service around Oxford. This service is drop to door only, we are unable to enter your property to bring items upstairs etc. For flats, items will be delivered to the building entrance. Please check the listed postcodes for your relevant price:

We are a charity shop and the majority of items that we sell have been kindly donated to us.  This means that we cannot guarantee that items are from pet/smoke free homes, and we may lack expertise when it comes to answering some questions on item specifics. We do try to describe items as accurately as possible and will answer any questions you may have if we can. 

ABOUT US

100% of our proceeds go towards supporting our charity, Emmaus Oxford, which provides those who have experienced homelessness with accommodation, training and meaningful work. We run a small community which houses around 30 people at a time, whom we call companions. Most companions volunteer at our social enterprise, which consists of a large physical shop in Oxford, online stores and house clearance operations. A lot of the items listed on our eBay store have been picked, researched and/or listed by a companion, and every purchase enables our charity to continue supporting them, as well as our local community.
