These vintage Paiste’s have become quite popular among drummers and cymbal collectors and for various reasons. One reason is that the metal has aged for half a century - softening the metals and gently tarnishing the originally golden polish to a now seasoned sheen. This cymbal shows light signs of use and expected blemishes you’d see on a cymbal of this age. 

As funny as it may sound, this cymbal looks almost exactly how you’d expect it to sound - With the great consistency and quality control Paiste has offered over the decades, these cymbals tend to maintain a more consistent character, which takes out a good amount of guesswork! This isn’t a dirty old Zildjian - This is a CLEAN and DARK sounding ride cymbal, with excellent “woody” stick definition with hints of smokey wash beneath each stick strike. The bell is a smaller cup and projects with ease and with a consistent, clear pitch. The crash on this cymbal is full, warm, and dark. John Bonham probably hit this like it was a crash!
