Rare and collectible COLORS Magazine
Issue Number 33 - Venice How Much?
August - September 1999
English/ Italian

Before the internet was in every home and pocket, COLORS magazine was a great way to expand your world view. It was a quarterly international creative magazine about 'the rest of the world' that was supported by the Benetton clothing company. Each issue focused on a particular topic from the perspective of "the rest of the world". This issue's topic is Venice How Much, and it is a fascinating and eye-opening look at one of the world's most amazing cities in 1999.

COLORS magazine was established in 1991 and it was edited by Oliviero Toscani and Tibor Kalman. Both editors shared the belief that cultural variety should be celebrated and that all cultures should be given equal consideration. It was a quarterly magazine up till issue Number 90 "Football" (2014), and it was distributed internationally in different bilingual editions.

The publication has been recognised with awards in prestigious competitions all around the world, such as the 2010 World Press Photo First Prize in the Art and Entertainment category and the Silver Award in the 90th Art Directors Club Awards. It was rated as one of the 51 best magazines of all time by Good Magazine, and it was ranked as one of the most influential cultural journals on the world stage by La Vanguardia.

The older issues of COLORS are collectable since they are hard to come by and those that are about can be quite expensive. On the United Colors of Benetton website, you used to be able to get back issues for about 30 Euros, however they have been out of stock for quite some time.

I have many issues from the late 90s to early 2000s and am post them together if you want more than one. Any questions, please reach out prior to purchase.
