Description

Maker:  Unknown c.1900's

Model:  2 Weight Time & Strike

Condition: This is an antique German weight driven regulator wall clock movement assembly with bottom plate of the mounting bracket included. It has the original celluloid style 2 piece dial with brass trim rings and grommets. The inner piece has some peeling of the celluloid on the edge below the winding arbors and also around the center hole of the seconds bit. The handset appears original and it has a screw in style seconds bit. The movement is not signed and only has a serical number of 110193 stamped on the bottom edge of the rear plate. It will take off and the escapement cycles when you pull downward on the catgut/cable of the time side and it will also cycle on the strike side counting the hours when you pull downward on the catgut/cable for the strike side. As mention, it has catgut for cables and it looks very old and discolored so, it may be the original catgut. The weight pullies are not matching and I suspect the one on the time side(right side with dial facing you)is the original one and the left is a replacement. The suspension spring is missing. It comes mounted on the bottom plate of the original mounting bracket and has both thumb screws that would secure it to the mounting bracket that was originally attached inside the case.

Ebay policy is too one sided and hurts both buyer and seller when we are 2 honest individuals trying to help each other out. If there is an error in the listing, I stand behind it. So, please contact me via regular message before using the contact "not as described" or "arrived damaged" as these will hurt seller ratings EVEN when I stand behind my products.

Measurements:  8 1/8" diameter dial(outside measurements) Winding arbors are approximately 2 3/16" apart on center
