Raptor Underbody Coating.The Mustang, from its launch back in the early Sixties, captivated the general publics imagination in so many ways and a huge amount of respect must be held for the radical forward thinking of its designers at Ford, all those years ago.But with this absolutely magnificent Classic Mustang Convertible all the credit must go to Timothy Edwards from Mesa Arizona.Tim built a Rotisserie on which he spent countless hours, in between his work as an automotive airbag engineer, over a seven year period meticulously restoring literally every panel, every component and every nut and bolt on this magnificent Mustang Convertible.The end result is without doubt a Muscle Car which retains much of its original Classic looks but that has been enhanced so superbly in styling that none of the visual impact is lost. It sits on the eye so well that for many, just looking at its form is simply enough.However, delve down into the way this Pony has been built and it simply gets better and better. There is no sector, in the build that has not had the same care, attention and investment applied to it.The body shell has been completely restored as will be confirmed by even an untrained eye viewing the underbody images. The standard of workmanship is outstanding and the restored shell presented a perfect structure for Tim to re-assemble his Mustang Convertible with either fully restored original or new upgraded high quality parts.The engine and transmission have been fully rebuilt with the emphasis on performance linked with reliability. To this end the power output is way higher than the original and the fast road cam in conjunction with the AFR aluminium heads and correct fuel air ratios allows the engine to rev very quickly producing a real shove in the back. All this power and torque are handled effortlessly by the uprated automatic transmission and put down on the road by a new Power Lok third member.Wherever you look the components are new and of the best quality, the braking system with four wheel power discs is a perfect ally for the performance of this car and the entire suspension and steering system is either new or fully restored.The presentation under the Bonnet is just superb and careful examination reveals the lengths Tim has gone in refining the way the car is put together, stainless fasteners where factors allow, otherwise grade 8 throughout, literally no expense has been spared.Every item of bright work is highly polished including all the stainless steel screen surrounds, no pitting is evident on any of the vent window frames and the interior reflects the same attention to detail as the rest of the car and is simply beautiful.Finally to top it off the Power operated Soft Top is not the usual plastic material but Cloth and it adds the final touch of class to this outstanding Classic Convertible Muscle Car.There are so many additional details which can be referred to but a careful read through the file of parts receipts will give the new owner a clear insight into just how much work and money has been lavished on this Stang.
