This exceptional rhodium-plated Alfred Philippe designed Trifari clip style brooch was patented in 1942 (see patent in photos).  The brooch features highly detailed styling with enamel and clear rhinestones.  It is a book piece that is referred to in Brunialti[s American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 116.  This is a magnificent piece and one that you will want to add to your collection.  Signed Trifari Pat.
