Nice details! Cutest child size 17 pieces tea or coffee set, circa late 1940s-early 1950s.  We advise these not to be toys these days, but for display only.  

Most of the set have a simple Floral design on white ceramic with blue striped rims.  Amazing that the lids have survived!!

Also the 2 shallow pedestal bowls have an all-over design, we think not part of the original set, but they were found together so keeping together.  They could well be soy sauce or condiment bowls, or chopstick rests. They look to be very influenced by Rose Medallion antique chinaware, and could be quite rare!! If you know, leet us know!

With only 3 cups and saucers, we figure 1 cup/saucer got lost or broken along the decades.

The teapot is marked MADE IN JAPAN, all others unmarked.  No maker

• Teapot appx 4” (5” with lid on), 6.5” across handle to tip of spout, appx 2” footprin
• Sugarer: Appx 3” (3.74” with lid on), 4.5” across handle to handle, appx 1.75” footprint
• Creamer: Appx 2.75” tapering up to 3” spout, 3” across handle to tip of spout, appx 1.75” footprint
• Plates: Appx 4.5” diam
• Saucers: Appx 3.85” diam
• Cups: Appx 1.5” x 5” diam (3.56” to handle)
• Bowls: Appx 1.5” x 3.25” diam

Please note these flaws, last 4 photos: evident but do not affect display

• —Tea Pot has chipped interior rim, Does not show when lid is in place
• —Creamer has a repair of a piece that broke out, on the back side so won’t show on display.
• —One of the saucers and one of the bowls each have a chipped rim that someone repaired: smoothed out and hand painted in attempt to match the striping.
• —Some of the blue striping is faint in some spots, seems more likely a manufacturing flaw and not from wear.
• Otherwise please expect typical evidence of manufacturing errors, misglazing, mispainting, handling, use, wear, age, storage.
